Welcome to the blog of Sweet Peach Crochet! I'm Katie and this is where I share with you my ideas, creations, and inspiration.

I started SPC in December of 2013 after teaching myself how to crochet a few months prior.

Why crochet?

I had dabbled in knitting (mostly gifts for others, nothing too complicated), but it wasn't really my jam. I found some old crochet hooks I had bought years ago and thought I'd give it a try. As it turns out, I love crochet! For me personally, it's quicker and easier to understand than knitting and has more versatility. I started trying out new patterns and became braver in what I was willing to undertake. Thus, I created SPC to share my creations with all of you!

Why Sweet Peach Crochet?

You see, I'm Georgia-based. If you've ever heard anything at all ever about Georgia, it's probably something about Georgia peaches. It's the state's calling card. There are peaches everywhere. Seriously. So I thought Sweet Peach Crochet would be a perfect name because nothing is sweeter than a Georgia peach, although some crochet projects come close.

I'm so glad you asked. ;) The 'Etsy' page at the top will take you directly to my Etsy shop where you can purchase anything I have listed. I'm also open to custom orders and colors, so just message me if you have questions.

Who am I?

I am a 23 year old graduate student at the University of Georgia. I'm currently getting my PhD in linguistics, so I'm a big word nerd. I'm from Arkansas originally {the natural state} and lived there until I moved to Georgia a couple years ago. I love trashy television, the British monarchy, sweet tea, and my baby dog Beau. I've been an avid crafter all my life. I'm constantly making something, so I'll share some of my own DIY projects with you, too!
